The Gannet (Morus bassanus) …
… is one of my favourite birds.
Descritption: Large seabirds with yellowish heads, black-tipped wings and longs bills. The Northern gannets belong to the largest seabirds in the North Atlantic. Wingspan is up to 2 metres. The gannets hunt by diving into the sea from a height. They start their flight always from the breeding colony / cliffs where they life as a great population.
Very noisy, day and night.
Size: about goose-size
Habitat: strictly maritim and is often seen far out on sea
